A couple of nice ones:
Buffynicity #2: Tonight I was shopping and as I was loading my groceries into my car a guy pulled up next to me and asked me if I remembered him from the place where I bought my car. I honestly didn’t remember him but I said I did anyway and we talked for a few seconds before he left. Then in tonight’s episode Buffy is at the Bronze and Ben walks up:
Ben: Hey.
Buffy turns to him, a little surprised.
Ben: I’m Ben. We had Algebra II together last year.
Buffy: Sorry, I pretty much repress anything math-related.
So there’s a person from the past that she barely remembers. Another nice one.
Buffynicity #3 is minor:
Xander: So what now? Not even a mega-vat of Raid’s gonna do the trick
here.
I found an old box of raid ant-traps underneath a shelf in the bathroom. And for that matter just yesterday I was looking at a wasp that was for sale on Daz3D, and seriously thinking of buying one.
I wonder if that’s important enough to list but I’m going to go ahead anyway. There was another, bigger Buffynicity as well, but I forgot what it was.
But then as I write this I realize yet another:
Buffynicity #4: Tonight I recovered a card from the Egyptian Lenormand deck which I had thought lost, and then tonight’s episode had a distinct egyptian theme – both snakes and wasps are enemies of Mafdet, the Egyptian Lynx goddess who I work with. And I also recall that there was a big Buffynicity around this episode the last time I watched it. I’ll have to track down that entry some day and compare.
I’ve decided now that this is my favorite Buffy episode because of the eerieness of the plagues of snakes and wasps, and also the torturous drama of Angel and Buffy channeling the lovers from 1955. I myself am nostalgic for the first time I watched these episodes earlier this year, when I was so excited to be discovering Buffy. This afternoon I actually was playing “Thrown to the Wolves”, the album by Four Star Mary which I bought back then, and thinking about how much I love Buffy.
Now as for aspects,
Moon inconjunct Neptune was fun and I felt really in control. I was happy that the day had flown by so fast. Spirit energy is more accessible at work and I’m feeling like it’s going to help me make a transition to a lifestyle I enjoy more. I have less to cover up at work, shall we say.
Moon sextiling Mercury as that guy drove by me in the parking lot (almost to the minute) makes a lot of sense now. I mean almost to the minute this guy was swinging past me bringing a Buffynicity.
Tomorrow Moon inconjunct Chiron will be fun, I bet. I’ll be looking out for more cool experiences with music. In fact I’m about to go download some stuff now, especially “I Only Have Eyes For You” to commemorate my favorite episode.
Moon opposing Uranus – what could it be? I’m looking forward to it.
Moon sextiling Saturn soon thereafter. Will there be some kind of surprise so that something happens in a rush? I’m expecting good things although it doesn’t seem like it will be a highly eventful day. Now that my shopping is done I’m looking forward to spending an evening catching up with the Poser manual.
And I really need to learn to balance my addiction to 3D with blogging.
