The Buffy Diaries 11-14-2017 Part Two

10:23 PM 11/14/2017

A couple of nice ones:

Buffynicity #2:  Tonight I was shopping and as I was loading my groceries into my car a guy pulled up next to me and asked me if I remembered him from the place where I bought my car.  I honestly didn’t remember him but I said I did anyway and we talked for a few seconds before he left.  Then in tonight’s episode Buffy is at the Bronze and Ben walks up:

Ben:  Hey.

Buffy turns to him, a little surprised.

Ben:  I’m Ben. We had Algebra II together last year.

Buffy:  Sorry, I pretty much repress anything math-related.

So there’s a person from the past that she barely remembers.  Another nice one.

Buffynicity #3 is minor:

Xander:  So what now? Not even a mega-vat of Raid’s gonna do the trick
here.

I found an old box of raid ant-traps underneath a shelf in the bathroom.  And for that matter just yesterday I was looking at a wasp that was for sale on Daz3D, and seriously thinking of buying one.

I wonder if that’s important enough to list but I’m going to go ahead anyway.  There was another, bigger Buffynicity as well, but I forgot what it was.

But then as I write this I realize yet another:

Buffynicity #4:  Tonight I recovered a card from the Egyptian Lenormand deck which I had thought lost, and then tonight’s episode had a distinct egyptian theme – both snakes and wasps are enemies of Mafdet, the Egyptian Lynx goddess who I work with.  And I also recall that there was a big Buffynicity around this episode the last time I watched it.  I’ll have to track down that entry some day and compare.

I’ve decided now that this is my favorite Buffy episode because of the eerieness of the plagues of snakes and wasps, and also the torturous drama of Angel and Buffy channeling the lovers from 1955.  I myself am nostalgic for the first time I watched these episodes earlier this year, when I was so excited to be discovering Buffy.  This afternoon I actually was playing “Thrown to the Wolves”, the album by Four Star Mary which I bought back then, and thinking about how much I love Buffy.

Now as for aspects,

Moon inconjunct Neptune was fun and I felt really in control.  I was happy that the day had flown by so fast.  Spirit energy is more accessible at work and I’m feeling like it’s going to help me make a transition to a lifestyle I enjoy more.  I have less to cover up at work, shall we say.

Moon sextiling Mercury as that guy drove by me in the parking lot (almost to the minute) makes a lot of sense now.  I mean almost to the minute this guy was swinging past me bringing a Buffynicity.

Tomorrow Moon inconjunct Chiron will be fun, I bet.  I’ll be looking out for more cool experiences with music.  In fact I’m about to go download some stuff now, especially “I Only Have Eyes For You” to commemorate my favorite episode.

Moon opposing Uranus – what could it be?  I’m looking forward to it.

Moon sextiling Saturn soon thereafter.  Will there be some kind of surprise so that something happens in a rush?  I’m expecting good things although it doesn’t seem like it will be a highly eventful day.  Now that my shopping is done I’m looking forward to spending an evening catching up with the Poser manual.

And I really need to learn to balance my addiction to 3D with blogging.

The Buffy Diaries 11-14-2017 Part One

8:14 PM 11/14/2017  Once again I’m forcing myself to keep up the narrative of my life even though I would much, much rather be doing 3D rendering.

Buffynicity #1:  Months ago I checked out “Dream of Life” by Patti Smith from the library and I lost it.  I’ve been renewing it over and over for weeks, hoping I would find it, but a few days ago it came due and I couldn’t renew it because someone else has put a hold on it.  So last night I went to the library and reported it lost and paid for it so after months and months this ordeal is over.  Then I came home and went to run and this was the episode where Willow took over Jenny Calendar’s class and lost the disc with her magical files on it.  So even though I’ve been very lax in reporting Buffynicities over the last week this one was a real zinger to remind me that it’s still important.

Furthermore, it was literally years ago I lost an important card in my Egyptian Lenormand deck, and tonight I looked over and found it where it has been sitting in plain sight for years – I keep a lot of tarot cards in a “chest of drawers” that is made of clear plastic, so you can see into the drawers even when they’re closed.  Tonight I realized that the missing card had fallen against the inside of this drawer and has been sitting there in plain sight for possibly two years.  So there’s something found in a similar way to the “file” that’s going to be found in a few episodes when they recover Jenny’s disc.  It’s very nice, and possibly also a hint that I should get back to keeping my narrative.

Possibly I’m learning to balance the addictive pleasure of 3D Modelling with the narrative consciousness I’ve developed over the last several months.

Now to catch up with aspects:

Friday wasn’t much.  The Moon inconjuncted Pluto and squared the sun.  I was messing around with the big assessment at work, and feeling under a little pressure, and yet I got over it and things worked out pretty well.  I’m behind on some things in general and feeling behind even if I’m not on some others, but I keep getting nice surprises.  My guides are getting closer and closer and it’s much easier to imagine working with them in a more productive way.

I went straight home to the circle.  Moon inconjuct Chiron was beneficial.  I accomplished some good stuff.  I saw some people from the past.  I felt more confident in all my relationships, more like I know what I’m doing.  I’m getting settled in with the working configuration of my guides and healing some past self-doubt.

IANDS went pretty smoothly.  I got a lot of good information.  In the evening I went to a ritual as the Moon sextiled Venus.  My visions were appropriately clear.  Once again, I felt very confident that I’m resolving issues.  I can see now that it hasn’t been such a big deal for me to miss blogging because the aspects weren’t that spectacular even though I felt fantastic.  Moon in Virgo once again is one of the most magical times of the month for me, and yet this time around I’m feeling pretty peaceful, expending most of my energies on 3D Modelling, which is bringing spectacular magical results.

The Moon was opposing Neptune on Sunday morning when I forgot that I’d parked very far away the night before and so missed my meditation group.  However I stayed home and did it “remotely”, which felt pretty good.  I was drinking all day, which I think was related to the transit, and I did a lot of 3D and caught up with cleaning.

The Moon trining Pluto brought a sense of integration.  I got some fantastic 3D stuff and I feel I’m venturing deeper and deeper into the underworld of the collective unconscious, getting ahold of the forces that are making powerful changes in my life.

The Moon was opposing Chiron on Monday as I drove to work.  I started listening to “Them Bones” by Alice in Chains and continued to all day.  I think it’s a kind of healing, a trip to the past and the era when they were popular.  It’s a good song and one of my new favorites.  I was feeling very enthusiastic about life with all the new cool 3D stuff I’ve got and this new favorite song to listen to.  Also I was getting stuff done at work and I feel more organized in general.

Moon inconjunct Uranus was validated but I can’t remember how unless it was some unusual requests at work.  I’m too happy now to stress myself over it – although I bet it was something cool on sale at Renderosity  or Smith Micro – I think it was.  I know I picked up on some awesome freestuff at Daz3D as well.  Moon squaring Saturn was fun.  I felt really in control.  There were some messed up requests though. Also I tried to make arrangements to drop off the books on Tuesday, as I wanted to shop Monday night, but suddenly I found I had to drop off books that evening and shop on Tuesday instead, so that was indeed an unexpected twist, and a rush for time.

Mercury squared Neptune in the evening as I was dropping off books.  Unfortunately I don’t recall too much although I do think the day in general may have reflected the transit in my increasing confidence and sense of focus.  Also that strange Buffynicity about finally paying for this CD I lost months ago probably had something to do with it.  I didn’t feel much when the Moon entered Libra.  I did get some good 3D done and had a nice run.

So much for catching up.  I’m going to go run before I do tonight’s aspects.
