Against the health care Nazis

And just to get the ball rolling, even though I should be in bed, our health care system is a disgusting, amoral abomination, like a moral cancer at the heart of our society.  America cannot seriously be called a moral country because the health care system we all share is a bloodsucking vampiric puddle of moneygrubbing filth, and a humiliating embarrassment to our historic legacy. Future centuries will remember our healthcare system as a crime against humanity, very like the Spanish Inquisition.

I haven’t had much to say about it because of the confusing moral ambiguities – after all, we all need health care, and a lot of the people who work in the business are good people, even making heroic efforts to help others.  But the election of Trump has shown me that there is no good to come from waiting. Our country has failed, common decency is an illusion, and there’s no time to bide any more.  So I’m going to weigh in on this one, and keep weighing in forever and ever.

And I’ll just use my writing to work out the confusing moral nuances.  In fact, this is actually the public issue I’m clearest on, and the one I find the easiest to talk about.  It’s not the one I’m most passionate about, but I do have quite a supply of contempt and condemnation to spew, so watch out.
