I don’t have time to go into this subject now, but at least I started the stub.
Ancient spiritual teachings have called music a divine art. Some people believe we live in “a musically ensouled universe." So why does the music of the human race suck now? Even fifty years ago we still had a serious art of music on this planet, but now due to the amorality of the entertainment industry and the echo chamber of the world wide web, which kills all individuality in favor of mediocre "content”, music is no longer a serious art form. It’s mostly just titty-wiggling and beats, and a few old symphonies and operas that get performed. We don’t even have good rock anymore, just watered-down rehash.
I think this disaster reflects a spiritual disaster of the species. It’s quite possible that the “ascended masters” have completely crapped out and abandoned humanity to “cocreation”, which basically means a lot of mediocrity and leveraging of empty, sad revenue streams. But I don’t know for sure, something else may be going on, so in this aggregator post I’m going to delve into various philosophical positions on the subject.
