I missed yesterday because of the holiday (I think – it’s been a wild weekend, exceeding my expectations, I can barely remember). But here I am back at work, trying to develop my style. I know I’m starting out vaguely referring to my feelings, but I want to get to where I can write about specific events with enough detail and clarity so they’re helpful to other people.
Moon and Venus in Sagittarius is nice, everything’s in motion and I’m finally picking a target – I’m getting some specific formats for social media I want, and I’ve got a lot of books and resources to help me “take my shot”. I’m also figuring out something about the relationship issues that I’ve been associating with Venus. I don’t want to talk about that situation yet. I may just leave it be until the shift to Capricorn. We’ll see if that transit means my hopes are fulfilled by coming to concrete manifestation, or dashed on the bloody Mars & Saturn Rocks of the Goat. And by hopes I mean of course there’s someone I want to like me very much. They already like me okay, but I want them to like me very very much.
Sun and Mercury in Scorpio, I’m being very sneaky and strategic, plotting my next move in building my social media empire, and my intellectual efforts in general. I guess I’ll probably look to start taking shots with my WordPress blog when they move into Sagittarius. It doesn’t seem too wild to predict I’ll be more expansive with all this in December.
So Mars is going into Aquarius on the 9th, I’ll have to see if I feel more expansive and socially oriented.
Venus is going into Capricorn on the 11th, which I suspect will have me looking for results. Mercury in Sagittarius on the 12th seems like a good time to start launching these new projects. I would announce the specifics now but since the Sun and Mercury are in Scorpio I’m going to go with the flow and keep my secrets.
Come to think of it I may have written about Neptune trining the Sun, after all.
Todays Mercury/Pluto sextile has possibly been associated with my sudden fixing on these social media ideas, inspiring me with the public “voice” I want – the angle of attack I want to take toward society at large. Would that have happened anyway, or is it because I’m consciously working with the planets now.
I got a bunch of Amy Winehouse music today. I wonder what that is astrologically? Has to be Mars and Venus, right?
I’m satisfied with today’s entry. I feel I’m developing on specifics and also working on some predictions. I’m going to relax a little and not worry about launching my other media enterprises until the Sun moves to Sagittarius.
Wouldn’t it be neat to see a period of the universe’s history that we’ve never seen before? That’s exactly what the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) will be able to do…plus more!
Specifically, Webb will see the first objects that formed as the universe cooled down after the Big Bang. We don’t know exactly when the universe made the first stars and galaxies – or how for that matter. That is what we are building Webb to help answer.
Here are 10 awesome facts about this next generation space telescope:
1. The James Webb Space Telescope is the world’s largest and next premier space observatory. It will extend the discoveries of the Hubble Space telescope and observe the birthplaces of stars, galaxies, planets and life over billions of years.
2. It is named after James Webb, NASA’s second administrator and champion of our science.
3. At 3 stories high and the size of a tennis court, it will be 100 times more powerful than Hubble!
4. It is so big that it has to fold origami-style to fit in the rocket, which is only 5.4 meters wide…And then it will unfurl, segment by segment, once in space.
5. The telescope will observe infrared light with unprecedented sensitivity. It will see the first galaxies born after the Big Bang over 13.5 billion years ago.
6. Webb’s infrared cameras are so sensitive they must be shielded from light from the sun, Earth, and moon. The 5-layer sunshield is like having sunblock of SPF 1 million.
7. Webb will orbit the sun 1 million miles from Earth, where the telescope will operate at temperatures below -390 F (-235 C).
8. Webb’s mirrors are coated with a super thin layer of gold only about 1000 atoms thick to optimize their reflectivity in the infrared.
9. Webb will launch from French Guiana in 2018. It is launched near the equator because the faster spin of Earth there gives the rocket an extra push.
10. Webb is an international mission, with contributions from the European Space Agency and Canadian Space Agency. Once operational, scientists from all over the world will be able to use Webb to explore our solar system, planets outside our solar system, stars and galaxies.
In mid-October, The Walt Disney Studios clocked its best year ever at international turnstiles. Two weeks later, the Mouse has now posted its biggest year of all time at the global box office with $5,851.4M through November 1. That beats the studio’s own previous record of $5,843.
