You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who had ever been alive.

The Buffy Diaries 7-13-2017
8:25 PM 7/13/2017
I’m off to run now, but first I’m going to record that the Moon is sextiling Pluto in about 25 minutes and during the runup to this I just had an amazing session, following up on the shamanic intensive I took a few months ago, when I got an enormous amount of very clear information from the guides involved. It was nice because we were sitting on the fourth floor balcony of a condo, looking out over tennis courts to the lake, and all the greenery around was very expansive and made us feel we could get these kinds of shamanic transmissions in a way relevant to daily life. Previous sessions we’d been cloistered away inside, feeling very insular, but we were much more involved in the world today, and able to navigate the psi states with relative ease and clarity.
Another synchronicity, although not (yet) so Buffynicitous, last night I was watching West Side Story which ends with Natalie Wood wearing a red dress and a black shawl over her head. Then this afternoon I read this line in Wuthering Heights:
“On the fifth morning, or rather afternoon, a different step approached—lighter and shorter; and, this time, the person entered the room. It was Zillah; donned in her scarlet shawl, with a black silk bonnet on her head, and a willow-basket swung to her arm.”
This is heralding another kind of death – the death of Edgar and also the “killing” of Heathcliff’s son and the happiness of Catherine.
To me the scene with Natalie Wood also represented a union of Saturn and Mars, and so did the passage in Wuthering Heights. I’ll have to see if anything black and red shows up in tonight’s episode.

I don’t immediately recall any black and red. However there were a couple of things.
Buffynicity #1: This could be minor, but they are discussing “the First” a lot and this weekend I did meet Raymond Moody who was “the first” person to use the term “Near-Death Experience”.
Buffynicity #2:
DAWN (O.S.)
Um, and exactly how many UberVamps were at the Geneva Convention?
I was thinking about the Geneva Convention a couple of days ago. I don’t remember what. Possibly even it was more than a couple of days and I’m just telescoping my memory. Since I don’t remember the specific joke I was making it doesn’t fully count but I’m recording it in case the joke comes back to me.
Buffynicity #3: I think this one is pretty major. Last night I saw West Side Story in which two gangs are going to “rumble” but they get talked into a “fair fight” between the best of the two gangs – Nardo and Ice. In tonights episode, the Turok-Han is the best of the bad guys and the rest of the good guys stand by watching while Buffy and the Turok-Han fight.
Buffynicity #4: From tonight’s episode, discussing the fight:
BUFFY
(to the Turok-Han) Looks good, doesn’t it? They’re trapped in here. Terrified. Meat for the beast, and there’s nothing they can do but wait. (forward somersaults down into the open area) That’s all they’ve been doing for days. (walks toward the Turok-Han) Waiting to be picked off. Having nightmares about monsters that can’t be killed. But I don’t believe in that. I always find a way. I’m the thing that monsters have nightmares about. And right now, you and me are gonna show ‘em why. It’s time. Welcome to Thunderdome.
ANDREW
Two men enter. One man leaves.
This reminded me of the lyrics to “Under the Gun”, which I have been listening to steadily for a week,
Do you feel your head is full of thunder?
Questions never end?
Empty nights alone?
No wonder
It all comes back again
and which was running through my head again today. The line “it all comes back again” is telling since I’ve been thinking about West Side Story a lot. Every time I’ve listened to the song I’ve noted the use of the word “thunder” and thought about it. And that is exactly what Thunderdome is – a way for two individuals to resolve disputes while everyone else watches. So this is really what I would call a “deep” Buffynicity.
Buffynicity #5: There’s a minor character named Amanda hanging around and I just joined a website a couple of days ago and I’ve been getting e-mails from “Amanda” which are a little surprising because she has almost the same last name as someone else I know named Amanda.
As for aspects, the inconjunct with Mercury had me looking up Siouxsie Sioux on the web and thinking a lot about Jennifer from my story going crazy and dying. I actually thought for the first time that I might have to change the name from “The Darkening of the Light” to something else because I’m going to have her trash the music business so hard that it really wouldn’t do to be referring to actual bands and actual songs. So that’s an inconjunct, but then the Moon conjuncting Neptune was very powerful for almost the same reason – I was checking out a lot of Siouxsie on the web, and putting biographies of her on hold at the library, listening to her music and generally getting a sense of Jennifer that was very powerful. I was especially appreciating the supernatural bent of Siouxsie’s lyrics and thinking about some Neptunian inner journeys Jennifer could go on.
It was a deep day that went very well, and then it led into the spectacularly successful one-on-one session I had tonight, followed by the deep “Thunderdome” Buffynicity I just had.
To today certainly lived up to the promise of the Moon-Neptune conjunct.
Tomorrow the Moon trines Mars and I’m expecting to feel fantastic. Mercury will sextile Jupiter as well. I’ll probably get some good writing done in the evening, as I feel ready for it, with the Moon also conjuncting Chiron. I will probably get some major insights at the Sacelli circle tomorrow night.
I’m looking at aspects for this weekend and there are going to be a lot of wild ones so I’m excited. I also used astrology to decide when to see the Rolling Stones exhibit at Navy Pier – since the Sun enters Leo on Saturday the 22d that’s when I’m going.
