My astrological expectations for today were fulfilled so spectacularly that I have to wonder if this isn’t just a self-fulfilling prophecy. If not, all this raises the age-old question of predestination, and how healthy it is to be involved with astrology, i.e. can it sap your free will to know things like this happen? Ether way, I’m continuing with it, though.
Basically it was all conflict, with the Moon opposing Pluto & inconjuncting the Sun, then squaring Uranus and Jupiter – the crummiest day for aspects since I started keeping track. I was wondering what to expect, hoping not to make it worse than it had to be with a bad attitude, but then in the morning I started getting messed-up requests with typos in them, things about bad bookkeeping that were annoying and took forever to resolve. The day plodded along with all these dopey obstacles piling up and it became clear that my predictions were unfortunately accurate. Still, I ticked off the negative aspects one by one as they climaxed until about two hours before the last one, Moon squaring Jupiter right when I got off work. At that point I made a dumb mistake and had to have a very embarrassing conversation with my boss about a screw-up that happened last December. It was like a petty nightmare come true. I say petty because it wasn’t a huge disaster but it just reminded me how much I hate working for someone else – and it was just appropriate for Moon squaring Jupiter.
So I was fearing that today would suck and in fact it did. And Moon inconjunct Sun made me feel like I don’t belong here and Moon squaring Uranus made me not give a damn that I don’t belong here.
Fortunately, tomorrow looks better. I actually rescheduled an inconvenient errand for today instead of Thursday just to get it out of the way so I can have as much fun as possible tomorrow. So this is like I’m cooperating with the heavens – since the signs say today is supposed to suck I’m just loading it up with chores, etc.
It’s interesting that Mercury is in Aquarius now; initially it felt less forceful than Mercury in Capricorn, but now here I am recording one of my most accurate astrological predictions. This is actually an important milestone, even though the Aquarian energy still makes me feel very washed out, like I’m nobody. Even though the unpleasantness of the day was apparently inevitable, I managed to observe it in detail and I think I can work with it to get on top of it for next time. So this is actually cool. It’s also cool to see how other peoples’ actions were influenced by these same aspects. I can see there’s a lot of depth to explore in these situations.
Moon inconjuncts Saturn in about an hour but I don’t care because I’m not at work and I can’t just lie here and daydream, or better yet I’ll be watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer while I run, probably.
Meanwhile, as crummy as today is, let’s see if my predictions for a brighter tomorrow come true.
First of all, moon will be in Leo. I have to watch closely to see if this influences my writing. Gemini sucks for writing, Cancer is just okay, comfortable but a little hollow-feeling. Maybe Leo will be like Aquarius or Scorpio.
In other matters I’ve identified the arc of Leo through Scorpio as my peak – things should be pretty good while these signs are active. Aquarius is actually the worst for me. Aquarius through Gemini, I think. So I’m hoping everything turns around when I wake up tomorrow.
Moon opposes Mercury in the morning, but that could be fun the way Moon opposing the Sun is – I’ll have to watch.
Then the Moon goes on to trine Venus and Mars and sextile Uranus. This could be freaking awesome – I could build a lot of momentum for the weekend when I have three different gatherings with psychics and shamans to deal with. It’s going to be an exciting few days. What should be especially interesting tomorrow is the contrast with today. After a crummy day which I basically predicted based on aspects, if I have a totally different day also predicted by aspects, that will be quite a validation.
And then there will be Moon inconjunct Neptune around bedtime. Inconjuncts aren’t great, but I love Neptune aspects anyway and that could be a really nice way to end the evening and get ready for the weekend.
So here we are in the void of course, and I’m learning quite a bit even though it’s not as much fun as it could be. At least there’s always Buffy.
