The Buffy Diaries: 3-2-2017 — more aspects

Today I had been thinking about the movie “Network”, so during Buffy when Xander said a villain was “dead as hell and not going to take it anymore” that was a Buffynicity.

Then the episode was about magic happening on the night of the Sadie Hawkins dance.  this was foreshadowed by the vision I was having yesterday of my angels coming to dance before me to the sound of Akhnaten.  Furthermore, that night I had talked to John about the Egyptian goddess Mafdet and when he told me he’d been thinking about Egypt all day he said that he and I were “tracking” – i.e. syncing up.  Then during tonight’s episode when they were coming up with explanations for the ghost phenomena, Willow said of one “that tracks”.

And of course the episode was about ghosts and the blurring of time just as my vision of the dancing angels had been.  And Mafdet is the enemy of snakes and “vermin” like scorpions, and there were snakes and wasps in the episode.

So that is a very dramatic example of resonance, especially since the dance ritual was about Tethys and I’ve also been focusing on the movie “Jaws” during the last week (as I’ve written about) and the next episode (which I haven’t completed, but only started) is about a cult of ocean monsters with a guy who has a shark tattoo.

Finally tonight I thought I had an event to go to, but I was mistaken – it’s on the 6th instead, but still during the entire runup to the Jupiter opposition with Uranus at 7:15 I was rushing home from work and then driving back up to Wilmette to catch this show.  I arrived up there and realized I’d made a mistake at 7, 15 minutes before the opposition. It was a very clear example of astrological synchronization.

The Buffy Diaries: Aspects 3-2-2017

First there was a Buffynicity from yesterday that I forgot.  For more than a week I’ve been half-recalling, half-imagining a conversation with somebody at a party years ago about mixed drinks and magic.  The Death Star was inspired by the moon of Saturn called “Mimas”, and I was suggesting “Mimasas”, which are like “Mimosas” – champagne and OJ.  But Mimasas would be red grapefruit juice.  If you were rich you could drink them with champagne that costs $23,000 a bottle, put back jello shots on the bottom and call them “Kroovies”.

Also in this conversation someone asked me if I’d ever made up a character named “Dru” – I’m pretty sure they were talking about Dru from Buffy TVS.  I told them I’d made up “Drew Scriver” years ago, a spoonerism for “Screwdriver”.  Drew was a good-natured comic book writer, “two thirds innocent fun, one third desperate need to get laid”.  This was the opposite of “Dru Id”, a dark, evil writer from the Saturn side.

Well at the end of the episode I watched yesterday, Buffy is recuperating from her illness and her mother brings her her favorite drink, “two parts oj, one part grapefruit juice”.
