The Moon is squaring Neptune in just a few minutes. The runup has indeed been fun. I feel much more grounded with my new perspectives on Egypt and I have a new sense of freedom and psychic clarity. I’m on the verge of a big breakthrough, although today has been slightly crazy for me.
I’m still having a lot of dystopian anger and resentment at the process of being a person. It’s too complicated and unpleasant and I think this century and this country are stupid and trivial. Hopefully the Powers that Be will give me something to do soon to take the edge off of my cosmic boredom.
I have so much energy, I feel like I’m in a vast, Neptunian space but I can’t tell what I’m supposed to do with it. I am being freed of the past, though, so it’s easier to feel the presence of other beings.
Synchronicity: this morning I was listening to “Islands in the Stream”, thinking about how beautiful Dolly Parton’s voice was, and then tonight I saw her on the cover of “Closer” magazine at the supermarket.
Now for Buffynicities:
Continuing the magical theme of the week, this morning I was thinking about King Spa and then I found I’d received an e-mail from Groupon for $20 off, which is unusual. Then tonight I was running and I finished the Buffy episode “Go Fish”, which has all the swim team sitting in a steam room.
Yesterday I got an image of Christopher Atkins from The Blue Lagoon on my Pinterest feed, and Cordelia made a joke about the “Creature from the Blue Lagoon”.
Furthermore, this morning I was looing up all kinds of information about Mafdet, and I found some other stuff about “Kek” who is one of the “Ogdoad”, the ancient Elder Gods of Egypt who have fish heads and snake heads, kind of like the first Avatar of Vishnu. “Kek” is the primal darkness. And I also looked up the Bennu bird and Typhon.
The reason I was thinking about Typhon was that I’ve been thinking all about the moons of Saturn and how the Death Star is “Mimas”, which breaks up to “meme ass”, and the ultimate Ass of Darkness is Typhon, often equated with Set, who in one version was summoning a darkness that was going to consume the world.
So then in the second episode I was watching tonight, “Becoming”, Angel is summoning a demon who is going to create a vortex of darkness that will consume the world. Also the crypt of the demon has what looks like cuneiform on it. This is a very cool linkage across these three or four episodes of Buffy of a bunch of symbols of the magical transformations I’m having.
