The Buffy Diaries 6-12-2017

1:04 AM 6/12/2017  The Moon inconjuncting the Sun in 40 minutes isn’t too big a deal except I am feeing pretty inconjuncted in general, trying to fit these amazing otherworldly experiences I have into this dreary, ugly, failed civilization I’m stuck in.  I note that the Moon has been in Capricorn this weekend and although those cycles have been making me feel like shit for months I actually felt amazingly excited this weekend, getting closer to the spirit worl than ever.  I must be doing better with this.  Hooray, it’s almost over and tomorrow the Moon goes into Aquarius.  I’m on my way back around.

The moon squaring Uranus and sextiling Chiron will probably bring some interesting experience with music.  My copy of Four Star Mary’s first album came this weekend, and now that I’ve got it on my iPod I plan to explore it deeply.

1:30 AM 6/12/2017  Moon entering Aquarius in the afternoon will advance the Lunar cycle at least.  Goodbye, Capricorn for another month.  I must point out again that Mars in Cancer is much more fun than Mars in Gemini.

The end of the Jupiter retrograde has been so dramatic, with the appearance of Tara, that I think the whole point of this week will be preparing for the Neptune retrograde that begins on the 16th.  This is going to be a big weekend for me, coming up.  I’m taking care of business in my daily affairs but more and more I feel like I’m ready to tell everybody I know to go fuck themselves and voyage into the infinite.  Here come the angels.  I’m looking forward to Jennifer’s show on Wednesday and then my intuition tells me that Friday, with Neptune retrograde and then conjunct the Moon will be particularly insane, the Moon conjuncting Chiron on Saturday will bring some revelation about music, and Mercury opposing Saturn on Sunday afternoon will bring a new revelation about “games”.

8:30 PM 6/12/2017 I have a big story to tell after I run, I’m just trying to get a handle on it … blogging works over time, as I always remind myself, getting into the emotional swing of my experience.  “Getting a life.”

10:03 PM 6/12/2017  Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.  Only a couple of days ago I was griping that I wanted “bigger and badder Buffynicities” and then tonight, on the way home from work, I was driving along Wilmette Avenue and a car pulled out in front of me.  I crushed my fender on it and rolled on another 25 yards.  The woman took full responsiblity, the cop called a towtruck, and I rode the Purple line home.  Then in tonight’s episode, the Trio convince Buffy she has killed a woman.

JONATHAN: It doesn’t matter! There’s a link. You knew her, so there’s a link. You don’t think Buffy’ll be able to put that together? That’s what she does, she’ll figure it out!
ANDREW: It was an accident. Maybe if we turn ourselves in

Later, Buffy and Spike –

SPIKE: It was an accident. It just happened.
 BUFFY: Nothing just happens.

It wasn’t until I thought about writing this down that I realized I’d been wishing for bigger and badder Buffynicities, and unfortunately now I have one.  And as I write *this* I realize that I stopped watching tonight when the revenge demon grants Dawn’s wish.

Buffynicity #2:  I have been listening to “Thrown to the Wolves” by Four Star Mary pretty constantly for the last several days, so I’m starting to notice the music on the show more.  “Out of This World” by Bush attracted my attention tonight, and I decided to start looking for all the songs used in the show, and not just stick to the soundtracks.  Then in the last episode I watched Spike and Buffy are making out and I hear “down down down”.  The song is by Extreme Music Library.  It isn’t available to download.  But just to be clear, god damn I want to freak out over this, I am reposting here from my last entry:

“12:25 AM 6/12/2017 I’m leaving all that stuff I wrote above, as an existential gesture toward reality.  I know what it means, even if no one else ever will.  And I’m insisting on blogging tonight, just as I am insisting on doing my laundry, because I want to BRING IT DOWN.  I’m all about bringing it down now.  I am having the most magical, Neptunian day ever and I want this over with.  I have had a lot of amazing experiences this weekend and I am almost ready to quit my lame job and set out on the road like Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady.

"But first I have to get some stuff together, like this weekend’s aspects.  I’m listening to “Ballad for Dead Friends” now.  I got my copy of Four Star Mary’s first album on Friday.  Down, down, down I’m bringing it down.  My laundry is ”

So I was writing all about “down down down” and then there was a song in the next night’s episode called “Down Down Down” which I clearly heard.  So these are two bigger and badder Buffynicities, I think.  This one is here to remind me that the accident I had was also synchronized.

Of course anyone reading this could think I just made it up but since the “Black Cat Bone” synchronicity I’m not worrying about that anymore.

As for transits, this was my prediction from yesterday:

“The moon squaring Uranus and sextiling Chiron will probably bring some interesting experience with music.  My copy of Four Star Mary’s first album came this weekend, and now that I’ve got it on my iPod I plan to explore it deeply. ”

So I got in a car accident and even though it was totally disruptive I felt very calm and listened to Four Star Mary as I did all the follow-up work, and when I got on the El a guy got on right after me and went through the door between the cars.  Just last week I was looking at one of those, wonder if I dared to go through, nervous in case there was an alarm, even though I’ve seen people go through before.  But this guy, drunk as he was, mumbling to himself about something, dropping his bottle right next to me, went through right in front of me so now I know it’s possible.  And then I made it to the library just before it closed and picked up my copy of Amber Benson’s “Ghosts of Albion”.  So the Chiron/Uranus thing worked out.

And the Moon went into Aquarius, too.  I should have known I wouldn’t get away with anything.  I had just posted that this Capricorn Moon was relatively fun for me and then whammo, this terrible accident.

Tomorrow is going to be a crazy day with the Moon and Mecury trining Jupiter and each other, and Mercury squaring Uranus.  Look out!
