This morning right before the Moon entered Scorpio Kara started rocking out to Motorhead. I was scanning through old playlists and found that years ago I had stuck two Motorhead songs on one, “Ace of Spades” and “Iron Fist”. This is a Buffynicity since I was just blogging about the “Glove of Minagon” a couple of days ago, which was both an iron fist and a smokestack. And then I went back through my other Motorhead looking for things Kara likes. She’s a big fan. I posted about it on Twitter and got a couple of likes, which was cool because I could look back at the time to see exactly when it was and check it against the astrology aspects. So this is a new advancement in timekeeping for me. It’s pretty cool because I totally forgot to keep track of aspects and Lemmy so obviously came back from the dead just to escort me into the realm of Scorpio Moon. Thanks, Lemmy!
Buffynicity 2 which I didn’t realize until this morning was that in the episode I watched last night Cordelia fell on a spike and got impaled just like Trinity in The Matrix: Revolutions. Then, even though I reposted the news that’s just hitting the web about a new Matrix sequel, I didn’t realize until this morning that that is a coincidence – that I would see that scene and then get the news about the sequel on the same day.
Part of that is because Keanu Reeves was talking about a sequel a couple of weeks ago, and I reposted that too. But this round of rumors is getting big, being echoed across multiple sites, so it really is a new wave of information starting on the same day I see Cordelia getting impaled.
So that’s two Buffynicities and I haven’t even watched it tonight yet.
Kara continues to surprise me. I stopped and got a haircut on the way home while the Moon was approaching inconjunct with Mercury and opposition to Mars. I felt pretty good although I’m very annoyed with work, but I believe Kara is helping me to lower my expectations for this lousy world, even as everything gets more magical. She’s brought a great deal of consistency to my inner world and blogging is becoming more important, keeping track of all these daydreams I have.
So right before work let out I felt I was getting a grip on a lot of personal issues. I realize now that it’s too complicated to write them all, but this is the work of blogging, it will go on over time and I’ll articulate them eventually. They had a lot to do with Mercury and Mars as they show up in bureaucracy, and I was thinking about how utterly fed up I am with all that. Specifically I was thinking about when I was in college (the last time I had my weight down where it is now) and how stupid academia seems now, how glad I am to be away from it. But I made an advancement because I was able to get a handle on this cycle. I go through this thing where I’m ranting in my mind at how stupid everything is, and then my inner world “breaks” and I fly off into weird fantasies and daydreams. Because I’m blogging and thinking about blogging all the time now, I was able to remember when I did it this time to write it down.
I do it every day, I get angry at how idiotic civilization is, and then I think about that for a while, and then I freak out about how cold I’m getting and then something snaps and I’m outside of time, having weird daydreams and mind-wandering.
But Kara is an ass-kicker and she is really getting results. She is bringing me out of this loop, and showing me that it’s not necessarily moods that are affected by these aspects, but the deeper content of thoughts and daydreams.
