The Buffy Diaries:

3:46 PM 3/26/2017 I woke up around 3:10 PM and felt a presence that was sinking deep into my unconscious, changing my feelings about everything as though from without.  It was some intelligence that pulled my attention away from the life paths of other beings.  It’s an interior pressure and presence.  It seems to be a solution to some confusion in my life.

I felt that even though it might not make sense, that writing about it would be useful.  Blogging develops the language for the phenomena over time.

I had the impulse to write for a while, but I finally started writing just a couple of minutes before the Moon inconjuncted Jupiter.

The Buffy Diaries: Aspects 3-16-2017

3:29 AM 3/26/2017 I just saw “Near Dark” at the Music Box; it was even better than I remembered.  On the train home I looked it up on my phone and as it turns out the director, Kathryn Bigelow, also directed “Strange Days”, another movie I found very memorable.  I also found out that she was married to James Cameron for a while, which is fascinating.  I wrote about “Logan” this morning, and as I did I experienced a lot of interesting intuitive sensations.  I feel as though I’m being drawn by spirit forces to engage with this level of emotional expression.  I enjoy the subtleties of it and as I’ve found by blogging about astrological aspects for the last several months it is a real magical process that helps me clarify my awareness of the telepathic world.  This morning I was trying to talk about the emotional experience I had of the movie, but of course it’s very difficult to do such a thing since everything in America is so manipulative and money-oriented now.  We live in an ugly, dead, empty, trivial wasteland.

I had a in interesting experience on the way home, and I was so excited about blogging on it that I stayed up and wrote the above, but now I’m too tired so I’ll go back over it tomorrow.  However, I was checking the astrological aspects and I found that the Moon conjuncted Neptune at 3:23 AM, so now I see the piece that I started above as the beginning of a release of that energy, and I’m posting it just to ground the experience.  I’ll work on the meaning of it tomorrow.

The Buffy Diaries: 3-25-2017 part 1: Logan

I saw Logan last night, and it was pretty good.  One thing that bothered me was the huge standee in the theater lobby with all kinds of quotes from reviewers raving about how earth-shattering it was and how it “transcends” the action genre.  I find Hollywood and its attendant reviewers are generally so nauseatingly trivial and over-hyped now that an ad like that would actually lead me to avoid a film – if I wasn’t a Jackman fan I would have avoided this one.  I mean what about this movie is supposed to “transcend” the genre?  It’s very well done but it follows all the usual archetypal plot threads to the letter.  Maybe I should do a post just to analyze all the exaggerated, mountain-out-of-molehill reviews.

What a sad world, where Carrie Fisher is dead and the cardboard goons who write that drivel are still alive.

I thought Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” was a leap forward in action movies.  I don’t think “Logan” is a leap forward but it’s certainly one of the best superhero movies I’ve seen. It isn’t earth-shattering at all, it’s just really emotionally satisfying.  Dafne Keen is very charismatic. It’s fun to watch her whirling viciously around like Yoda in her fight scenes.  I’ll be looking forward to the next installment for her character.

There’s a lot of good scenes between Xavier and Logan.  They really brought they characters solidly down to earth and made them make sense in a dystopian future.

In fact, it brought them down to earth so well that even though I usually avoid writing or even thinking seriously about anything coming out of the insipid toilet that Hollywood has become, I got emotionally involved enough to write a bit of my own review here.  I really appreciate the work of the team that made this movie. I was already an admirer of Stewart and Jackman, so the big change is that I’ll be looking out for more of Mangold (who directed “Girl, Interrupted”) and Dafne Keen.

The Buffy Diaries: Aspects 3-23-2017 part 4, Predictions

Tomorrow the moon is trining Jupiter and then sextiling Mercury, Uranus, and Saturn.  It’s like a big ski slope, building momentum all afternoon into the evening.  I have to debate whether to go see “Logan”.  Logan’s really old in the movie, it might be appropriate to be getting out of it right when the Moon sextiles Saturn at 12:56 AM.

I think I’ll have to see “Near Dark” on Saturday.  Moon will be in Pisces, anyway, thank God.  The most boring Moon (Aquarius) will be over.  Perhaps I’ll try to be awake, as the Sun conjuncts Venus only 11 minutes later.  It could be cool.

I’ve got a group ritual Saturday evening during the leadup to the Moon sextiling Mars, and Near Dark will probably be ending right around that time.  The movie starts at midnight and the sextile is at 1:42 AM.

I’m so tired now I want to sleep but I’ll note there are three conjuncts on Sunday when I expect to pick up a graphic novel I’ve wanted for years at Graham Crackers (They’re having a sale) and the moon will be sextiling Pluto in the afternoon while I’m watching Blade Runner, back at the Music Box for the second time in a weekend.

It seems like an interesting idea to see three movies in one weekend.  Sounds like a plan, just for the Piscean fuck of it.

But I’m too tired to think about this seriously now.  Good night.

The Buffy Diaries: Aspects 3-23-2017 part 3: Headphones

Continuing with aspects and other synchronicities:

I forgot to mention in my last post that it was a big deal that the demon only wants cash for the Books of Ascension, after I had just been thinking about all the cash I would have to take to C2E2 to get autographs.

Moving on, I worked downtown today.  The last time I worked downtown I wrote about it on this blog.  I broke my headphones and I was so impatient to listen to music that I went across the street to a drug store to buy some cheap replacements, lime green "sport headphones", supposedly durable though not as good sound quality, even though I had another pair of Skullcandy 50/50s at home.

So I used the lime-green ones for four hours and then switched to my 50/50s, and then I ordered a replacement pair of the same model, super-cheap from an e-bay store out of China that took longer to ship.  Well, yesterday, the day before I had to go back downtown to work, I broke that spare pair of 50/50’s so I had to use the lime-green sport replacements.  I just find that fascinating that I was down there again today wearing the same pair of headphones.

And then the replacement pair I ordered all the way from China just arrived today.  They were waiting for me when I got home.  I really need to go back to my blog and see what else happened that day.

I’ve figured out a way to get deeper with my blog is to record each aspect and compare over time, i.e. each time the Moon trines Mars or whatever I would look back at the last time it did.

Moon sextiling Venus this morning was very fun.  I am getting my ability to work back.  I had a bunch of stuff to write but the Buffynicities I had just wiped it all out.  I’m still listening to Motorhead all the time.  It’s nice to have a “new” band I can get totally into.  I haven’t done this since I rediscovered Disturbed years ago.

I was ready to get out of there early, but then at the last minute everyone kept dumping stupid requests on me.  It was very frustrating, although I kept my cool I didn’t get out of there until 4:17, 17 minutes late and also only 3 minutes before the Moon squared Mars.  Even though squares are usually fun for me, this little upset seemed to be clear evidence of astrological timing.

Then I got home and although I felt pretty good, having completed a lot of the crummy paperwork last night, I wound up daydreaming again, as I said about Peter Dinklage in “My Favorite Year”, C2E2 upcoming, and Godot.  This went right up through Mercury squaring Pluto and here I think the nature of my daydream had something to do with the Buffynicities.

I’ll think about this more later, now I’m going to make predictions and go to bed.

The Buffy Diaries: Aspects 3-23-2017 part 2

I forgot to mention that Alt-Willow captures her first vampire slave by breaking two of his fingers, just like In Blade Runner, and that I had been thinking about Blade Runner earlier in the day.  However, it’s true that I think of Blade Runner every few days anyway.

But the most ridiculously absurd Buffynicity of all is that Buffy actually mentions Godot.  I mean how often do you hear “Waiting for Godot” referred to in a TV comedy?  I swear to God I was thinking of that title an hour earlier.  It’s totally fucking absurd and I think that’s the lesson here, life is really this absurd.

I’ll move on to other aspects in part 3.

The Buffy Diaries: Aspects 3-23-2017

After a lull yesterday, we are back in full force with bigger and badder Buffynicities than ever before.

First of all, the setups:

Before I went to run I went into a huge daydream where I thought about Peter Dinklage remaking “My Favorite Year”.  I thought his character would be slightly different from Peter O’Toole’s in the original, that he would know jiujitsu.

I was reminiscing about acting and actors, and for a moment I was also very specifically thinking about feeling guilty because I had never seen “Waiting For Godot”.

I went online to look at guests for C2E2, and I found out that the autograph booths only take cash.

Then I went to run and watch Buffy, not expecting much because yesterday was a bit slow.  I did, however, develop a greater interest in Eliza Dukshu and I look forward to watching “Dollhouse”.  I followed her on Twitter.

But then there were some interesting things.  Alt-Willow came back from the Matrix universe and was using Jiujitsu on a vampire in the street outside of Bronze.  That was kind of minor.

Then she was inside Bronze and she walked over to a girl at a table and right then a cop car out on the street beside me (the health club has huge windows all around) began flashing its blue lights and drove by.  I thought of “Blue Light”, the song by David Gilmour that I’ve always associated with Sandra, my angel of Saturn.  I thought that might be important and then Willow asked the girl what her name was and she said “Sandy”.

So that was pretty profound, a very fun Buffynicity because of the sudden overwhelming surprise of the flashing blue lights going off like a bomb.  Later in the second episode I watched, when the figure all in black (like Khan from Star Trek II or perhaps even an angel of Saturn) zapped away Angel’s soul with blue lights I thought that was also relevant.

This was actually very deep for me, the split-second timing of this and the brightness of the light were showing me that I am going through the looking glass with this.  As much as I’d like to stay detached from these events, I’m still going to report them in detail.

Buffynicity #3 was more minor.  Today I was looking at my first membership magazine for the Chicago Art Institute.  They are having “Whistler’s Mother” back through may.  Anya was in the episode tonight, and so was another demon who resembled “Whistler”, the demon who talks to Angel.  That’s not a very deep one, admittedly, but still a resonance.

The Buffy Diaries: Aspects 3-22-2017 part 2

As Moon-Capricorn approached sextile with Chiron-Pisces I could feel myself shifting the way I saw the world, going more into higher worlds, telling lower ones to fuck off.  Right before the actual aspect there was a brief meeting with our new boss, who has been with the company 6 weeks after they humiliated the old boss by firing him after 20 years (this is not the same boss I wrote about a few weeks ago, it’s someone else).  He went over the employee satisfaction survey, which was unsurprisingly less positive than it has been in the past.  I was so bored and disappointed with corporate America but I couldn’t help but fling myself toward some kind of destiny as a channel.  I could never take that life seriously.

I forced myself to confront the darkness of this world. I am engaging with mass media, picking my way through it one step at a time.

I’m too exhausted to write more today, despite my notes, so I’ll go straight to predictions (yesterday’s predictions for today were pretty good, by the way).

Moon sextilling Venus in the morning means probably more visions.  I’ll be by myself at a remote location, rocking out.  Moon squaring Mars while I’m on my way home means I’ll probably make up my mind about some things.

Mercury squaring Pluto at 7:45 PM may be interesting.

And now I am too damn tired to care what I wrote.  I’ll make better progress tomorrow.

The Buffy Diaries: Aspects 3-22-2017

I tried to take detailed notes of what was going on today.

Only one minor Buffynicity.  The “Eliminati” were in the episode I started last night.  Today at work the bosses had pizza delivered and while I was getting a slice I could have sworn the guy next to me said “The Illuminati”, which freaked me out until I realized the pizza came from Lou Malnotti’s.  I don’t know if that co-worker actually said “The Illuminati” or not, but it was interesting.

Another minor point, the Mayor claimed to have “100 days” before his ascension and I did the math and there are about 96 episodes of Buffy left for me to watch.

Other than that, not a huge amount of resonance, a bit of a lull after the spectacular cloud of orange flame from “The Zeppo” which was a spectacular high point for me.  Of course the main episode tonight was about Faith being in denial and that may be why I didn’t find too much in it – because I’m in denial about something.  I still don’t know what, however I am confronting my darkness directly.

I took care of some legal paperwork today that I have been putting off for months, and a few other pain-in the-ass chores.  That was nice.  It’s like all this with Buffy and Lemmy is neutralizing my daydreams, pulling me into the 21st century.  For years I thought of Buffy as being from the alien world of the normos, a show to be watched in a world I could never belong to.  But I can see now that watching it is pivotal for my understanding of entertainment.  So much of the astral imagery that has plagued me for years is coalescing and becoming manageable during this process.  It’s definitely magic.  Thankfully I feel more able to separate from this world psychically than ever before.  And along with this my vision of other worlds is becoming that much more clear because I can cut out the astral noise of this one.

As for aspects, I woke up this morning and looked in the drawer where I keep old close I haven’t been able to wear in years.  I found a shirt that I bought more than five or maybe even ten years ago that I never could fit into and put it on.  With my old clothes back, the size of my wardrobe will double.  I can’t wait to wear all the Leady Death t-shirts I’ve kept since the 90s.

I listened to “Fire Woman” on the way to work, thinking of Kara and thinking about Buffy.  I felt very confident in the upcoming season of revelations, but also uptight about the paperwork and stuff I had to do (which I took care of tonight).  I was a little worried.  As I record my astral daydreams in more detail, they get smaller and my field of vision gets a little darker.  I have to deal with the dark, rotten world I live in, the hopelessness of the United States, the triviality of our culture.  And yet I also have great exhilaration at my increasing ability to channel and perceive higher worlds.

I did notice when the Moon squared Uranus in Aries.  It was very powerful but I still feel I have work to do in coming up with ways to write about such things that are meaningful , interesting, and specific.

The Buffy Diaries: Aspects 3-21-2017 part 4

I forgot one last Buffynicity.  Right before I went to the club, I was looking up logos for “Southern Death Cult”, the original name of “The Cult”, the band of Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy.  Since I’ve been listening to Motorhead constantly I’ve been thinking of one of my Angels wearing a Motorhead t-shirt, so I thought I’d see of there were any “Southern Death Cult” t-shirts for one of my other angels to wear.  I saw that they used to have a kind of mascot named “The Fatman” – he rode around in a tank.  I thought that was interesting and then 30 minutes later I was at the club watching Buffy fight “Balthazar”, a demon who looks like an enormously fat man sitting in a pool.
